J. Blair Norris

Blair Norris received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California and graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School. He is licensed to practice law in Texas, California and the District of Columbia.

Following graduation from law school, Mr. Norris worked in private practice in Los Angeles, California and Washington, D.C. In 1992, Mr. Norris began a 17-year career with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, starting in the Home Office in Washington D.C. before transferring to the Fort Worth Regional Office where he spent the final twelve years of his SEC experience as a Senior Trial Counsel. While at the Commission, Blair Norris investigated and prosecuted a wide variety of federal securities law violations, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations, market timing, broker-dealer misconduct, insider trading, and prime bank and Ponzi schemes.

In 2009, Mr. Norris returned to private practice, remaining in the DFW area. Mr. Norris’s experience in private practice has encompassed a wide variety of practice areas, including insurance defense (both first and third party), personal injury, products liability, securities litigation, professional malpractice, civil rights, debt collection and financial institution litigation.
